After redshirting last season due to an injury, Cal State Northridge's Ofa Tulikihihifo made her presence felt this season as she opened the new year with a triple-double in the Matadors' win over Portland State, to earn the first Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor for the 2006-07 season. This is Tulikihihifo’s fourth weekly honor of her career.

In Sunday's 77-67 win over Portland State, the Hawthorne, Calif., native tallied 13 points, grabbed 10 boards and dished out 11 assists, to post her second career triple-double. This was the first Matador triple-double since Tulikihihifo posted one against Cal Poly on Jan. 18, 2003.

On Friday, the 5-11 forward scored a team-high 19 points and eight rebounds in the 95-77 loss to San Diego. She also added four steals and three assists.

For the week, she tallied a .619 field goal percentage, while averaging 16.9 points per game. The redshirt senior also averaged 9.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. Her career point total of 1,270 places her in a tie for third on the all-time CSUN points list, while moving her up to 43rd in the Big West’s record book.

The Matadors return to the court on Friday night when they travel to San Jose State for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
