Crystal McCutcheon (Lancaster, Calif./Antelope Valley HS) was honored with her second Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week award this season after a stellar performance helped lift the 49ers to an upset victory over No. 15 Houston last week.
The 5-9 wing tallied 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field, including a 2-for-2 clip from beyond the arc. McCutcheon also collected two boards, two assists and two steals. Her two free throws and layup stretched a one-point 49er lead to five points with three minutes remaining in the game, helping Long Beach State beat a ranked opponent for the first time since 1992.
