It is McGhie's second career weekly honor, having won it once earlier this season on Nov. 25. The senior was also named the Lou Henson National Player of the Week. The Triton swingman shot 47.7 percent (18-of-38) from the floor, 54.1 percent (13-of-24) from 3-point range and 100 percent (4-of-4) from the charity stripe in the two victories. McGhie amassed 26 points, shooting 6-of-14 from long distance, with six rebounds and three steals in Tuesday’s 75-73 road victory at Utah State. The Aggies, who came in ranked 20th in NET, suffered their first loss of the season and just their fourth home defeat in their last 46 games. The Denton, Texas product matched a season-high with 27 points, going 7-for-10 from beyond the arc, with four rebounds in a 77-71 triumph at crosstown rival San Diego, Saturday night. UC San Diego is currently on a nine-game win streak for an 11-2 overall record on the season. McGhie is averaging 18.0 points, 3.8 made 3-pointers, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
