Dominic Drury was elevated to Assistant Commissioner – Basketball Operations and Finance in July 2025, after joinining The Big West as the Director of Championships and Basketball Operations in May 2023. 
 
Drury’s key focus is on implementing initiatives designed to continue the growth of The Big West basketball enterprise. The conference closed the 2024-25 men’s basketball season ranked a collective 12th in the NET and Kenpom, which represents The Big West’s highest standing since 1999-00 season. In addition, Drury manages men’s and women’s basketball day-to-day operations, which include scheduling, officiating, analytics, and serving as the tournament director for The Big West Basketball Championships. On top of his basketball responsibilities, Drury also assists with daily financial operations and systems under the direction of CFO Kevin Rorke and is the primary sport administrator for beach volleyball.
 
Drury comes to The Big West from member-institution Hawai’i where he served on the Rainbow Warrior men’s basketball staff from 2018-23. As UH’s Director of Basketball Operations, Drury managed scheduling, academics, compliance, fundraising, community service, team travel and the day-to-day operations of the program. Drury also assisted in overseeing multi-team events such as the ESPN Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. In 2022, Drury played a key role in the launch of the North Shore Classic, a collegiate basketball tournament held in Laie, Hawai’i, in partnership with Total Sports Consulting.  

Prior to his time at Hawai’i, Drury served as a team manager at his alma mater, Saint Mary’s, where the Gael’s went 109-27 during his time in Moraga. In 2017, Saint Mary’s honored Drury with the Mike Gibbons Volunteer of the Year Award for his work with the men’s basketball team and with other programs throughout the school’s athletic department. 

The native of Hayward, California earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2018 and a master’s in sport administration from Arkansas State University in 2020. Dominic and his wife Jessie currently reside in Ladera Ranch, Calif.
