No. 1 seed UC Davis received goals from Andy Velasquez and Kristian Heptner to defeat second-seeded UC Santa Barbara, 2-0, before an Aggie Soccer Field capacity crowd of 1,308 in the Big West Men's Soccer Tournament championship game Friday. The standing room only throng set a program single-game attendance record and witnessed the Aggies punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008. UC Davis (13-4-2) tied the school's Division I record for most wins in a season and earned its third straight shutout victory and ninth clean sheet overall.
