Gauchos #RaiseTheCup At Men's Golf Championship
With an exciting finish that came down to the final putt of the tournament, UC Santa Barbara, who entered day three with a six-stroke lead, narrowly escaped a charging CSUN team to claim its first Big West Conference Men’s Golf Championship since 1998 at the Sandpiper Golf Course (par 72; 7,093 yards) in Goleta, Calif. Nick Swanson parred the 18th hole to give the Gauchos a team total of 852, which secured the team title by one stroke over CSUN, who closed an eight-stroke gap with consistent play but fell one stroke short with a team total of 853 (284-285-284).
