'Eaters Cruise To Tourney Title And Big Dance
Regular season champion and top-seeded UC Irvine got off to an explosive start and carried that momentum to a dominating 92-64 over No. 3 Cal State Fullerton in the championship game of the Big West Conference Men's Basketball Tournament at Honda Center. With the win, UC Irvine earns a ticket to the NCAA DI Men's Basketball Tournament.
The Anteaters shot 62 percent from the line and an impressive 71 percent (10-14) from behind-the-arc. Leading the way for UCI were all-tournament most valuable player Max Hazzard and all-tournament member Collin Welp, who both scored 23 points.
