Offensive Player of the Week  Yasmin Azar, CSUN | Junior • Forward • Folsom, Calif.

• CSUN forward Yasmin Azar scored three goals across a two-match road trip to claim Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors for Sept. 14. This is the first Big West weekly award of Azar's career.

• Azar recorded the first brace of the junior's career, striking twice within the opening 22 minutes to help the Matadors earn a 4-2 victory at Utah Tech. It marked the Matadors' first multi-goal performance since 2023.

• The Folsom, Calif., native followed with a second-half equalizer in Sunday's 2-2 draw at Southern Utah and finished the week with seven of nine shots landing on target.

• Azar's three-goal week helped CSUN extend its unbeaten streak to four consecutive matches.

Defensive Player of the Week  Siena Navarra, CSUN | Junior • Defender • San Diego, Calif.

• CSUN defender Siena Navarra contributed on both ends of the field while playing all 180 minutes to secure Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors for Sept. 14. This is the first weekly honor of Navarra's career. 

• Navarra recorded a first assist of the season, setting up Azar's second-half equalizer in the Matadors' 2-2 draw at Southern Utah.

• The San Diego, Calif., native also delivered a match-saving stop at the net in the 84th minute, preserving the road result with a team save.

• Navarra has now played every minute in six of CSUN's nine matches this season.

Rookie of the Week  Theresa Castro, CSUN • Freshman • Midfielder • Bonita, Calif.

• CSUN midfielder Theresa Castro scored for the first time to collect Big West Rookie of the Week honors for Sept. 14. This is the first Big West weekly award of Castro's career.

• Castro came off the bench to net a first-half equalizer in the Matadors' 2-2 draw at Southern Utah, recording two shots across 62 minutes.

• The Bonita, Calif., native also registered two shots during a 21-minute appearance in CSUN's 4-2 victory at Utah Tech.

• Castro finished the road trip with four shots across 82 minutes, placing one attempt on frame.
