  • UC Santa Barbara attacking midfielder Kaden Standish scored twice in two wins to earn The Big West Offensive Player of the Week award. It is Standish's first career offensive weekly honor from the league.
     
  • The Gaucho senior put home the game-winning strike from 25-yards out in a 1-0 triumph at Rutgers, Monday night.
     
  • Standish found the back of the net on a header to equalize the game in the second half at Grand Canyon on Saturday. The Gauchos would go on to win the match, 2-1.

  • UC Santa Barbara goalkeeper Owen Beninga allowed one goal in two outings to secure The Big West Defensive Player of the Week honor. This is the second career defensive weekly honor from the league for Beninga.
     
  • The Jackson Hole, Wyo. product compiled three saves in a 1-0 shutout win at Rutgers on Monday.
     
  • Beninga made seven saves, tying a career high, in a 2-1 road win at Grand Canyon, Saturday night. One of the seven rejections came in the form of a last-minute kick save to preserve the win.
     
  • UC Santa Barbara has a 3-1-2 record this season. Beninga has two shutouts this season with a goals-against average of 0.83.

  • Utah Valley’s Luca Wingaa Laursen was part of a monumental upset to be named The Big West Rookie of the Week. This is Wingaa Laursen’s first career weekly honor from the conference.
     
  • The first-year Wolverine had an unofficial assist on UVU’s game-winning goal at No. 20 Marshall, which was eventually scored as an own goal.
     
  • Wingaa Laursen contributed 35 minutes off the bench in the middle portion of the match.
     
  • Utah Valley is undefeated with a 4-0-1 overall record this season.
