Offensive Player of the Week 
Sebastiano Sani, UC San Diego | Junior • Outside Hitter • Bethesda, Md.
  • 8138Leading UC San Diego to a successful upset bid of No. 2 Hawai’i on Saturday, junior Sebastiano Sani has been named Big West Offensive Player of the Week for a first career award. 

  • The junior transfer from Long Beach State was instrumental in the Tritons handing the Rainbow Warriors their first Big West loss of the season, finishing with 18 kills while hitting .371 to go along with a career-high five blocks and two aces in the 3-1 victory at LionTree Arena.  

  • UCSD's win snapped an eight-match winning streak for the defending Big West champions, holding their bid for the regular-season title at bay until the final week of the action.  

  • In the two matches with Hawai'i, Sani totaled 29 kills on .434 hitting with 5.00 points per set. The outside hitter from Bethesda, Md., currently rates fourth in The Big West in both kills (3.62) and points (4.29) per set, both figures in the top 25 nationally. 

  • The Tritons have one more regular-season matchup before the postseason commences, hosting UC Santa Barbara on Saturday at 7 o’clock as both sides jockey for seeding position.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Andrej Jokanovic, UC Irvine | Freshman • Outside Hitter • Cannes, France
  • 8136Helping UC Irvine to a pair of victories over CSUN, freshman Andrej Jokanovic has been named Big West Defensive Player of the Week. This is the first award of its kind for the now seven-time freshman weekly award winner.  

  • Jokanovic averaged 2.71 digs and 0.71 blocks against the Matadors, highlighted by a career high 13 digs with four total blocks including one solo stuff in Thursday’s four-setter. 

  • Saturday, the outside hitter from Cannes, France added six digs and a block in the home sweep to close out the series.  

  • Offensively, Jokanovic averaged 4.71 kills on .388 hitting with six aces. The Anteaters close the regular season with the crucial Black-Blue Rivalry against Long Beach State before The Hawaiian Islands presents the 2026 Outrigger Big West Men’s Volleyball Championship commences at the Bren Events Center April 23-25.

Setter of the Week 
Cameron Kosty, UC Irvine | Redshirt Freshman • Setter • Hayward, Calif.
  • Directing UC Irvine to a season sweep over CSUN to remain in the picture for a first-round bye in the Big West Championship, Cameron Kosty has been named Big West Setter of the Week. This is a second such career award, also earning distinction on Feb. 9. 

  • The redshirt freshman setter averaged 11.57 assists per set in seven sets while guiding the Anteaters to a combined .389 (99-20-203) hitting percentage on the weekend.  

  • Kosty tallied 49 assists in Thursday’s four-set victory before recording 32 in Saturday’s road sweep. The native of Hayward, Calif., also finished with three kills on .500 hitting in each match. 

  • Kosty contributed more than three assists per set more than his season average, which bumped up to 8.55 assists per set after the successful weekend.

Freshman of the Week 
Andrej Jokanovic, UC Irvine | Freshman • Outside Hitter • Cannes, France
  • First-year UC Irvine outside hitter Andrej Jokanovic claimed the season’s seventh Big West Freshman of the Week honor, going back-to-back for honors after the Anteaters took two from CSUN over the weekend. He was also tabbed for defensive weekly honors for the efforts. 

  • Jokanovic averaged 4.71 kills, 5.71 points, 2.71 digs, 0.71 blocks and 0.57 aces in the series sweep of the Matadors.  

  • The native of Cannes, France, put away a match-high and career-high tying 23 kills with a career-best 13 digs for the double-double to go along with four blocks, four assists and an ace in Thursday’s 3-1 home victory.  

  • On Saturday, Jokanovic shared the team lead with 10 kills with six digs and three aces in the three-set road win. 

  • Jokanovic is second in The Big West and 16th nationally with 4.32 points per set while also standing in the league’s upper echelon in hitting (.317 - 6th), kills (3.62 - 3rd) and aces (.427 - 4th) average.
