Offensive Player of the Week 
George Bruening, UC Santa Barbara | Redshirt Sophomore • Outside Hitter • Newport Beach, Calif
  • Leading UC Santa Barbara to a win in their first conference match of the season, George Bruening has been named Big West Offensive Player of the Week. This is a second career offensive honor for the redshirt sophomore, also earning the award back on Jan. 12. 

  • The outside hitter from Newport Beach, Calif., put down a match high 19 kills during UCSB's five-set victory against UC San Diego. Bruening hit .324 in Friday’s match and also added three blocks and an ace. 

  • Bruening currently rates third in The Big West and 19th nationally with 3.66 kills per set.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Quintin Greenidge, Hawai'i | Junior • Libero • Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
  • Hawai’i libero Quintin Greenidge anchored the back line in a two-match series against Pepperdine to claim Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors. This marks Greenidge’s second career honor, also earning the award back on Feb. 16. 

  • The libero from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, tallied 22 total digs in a pair of four-set matches against the Waves.  

  • Greenidge’s week was highlighted by a season-high 15 digs with five assists in Friday’s victory.  

  • The junior libero averaged 2.88 digs per set, led the team with a .979 reception percentage with only one reception error in 48 attempts and helped the team average 11.50 digs per set in the series. 

  • Greenidge bumped the season average to 2.15 digs per set, tops in The Big West and 15th nationally.

Setter of the Week 
Tread Rosenthal, Hawai'i | Junior • Setter • Austin, Texas
  • For the sixth time of the season, Hawai’i junior Tread Rosenthal has claimed Big West Setter of the Week. This is Rosenthal’s 11th career nod in the category.  

  • Rosenthal averaged 12.25 assists per set and directed an offense that hit .360 in the two-match series split against Pepperdine.  

  • Offensively, the junior from Austin, Texas, totaled 12 kills, hitting .706 while averaging 1.50 kills per set in the series, providing timely strikes for the Rainbow Warriors. Rosenthal also averaged 2.75 digs per set and 0.88 blocks per set while serving five aces against the Waves.  

  • On Wednesday, Rosenthal tallied 42 assists and 13 digs in a four-set series opener for a fourth career double-double and the first of the season.  

  • In Friday’s rematch and UH win, Rosenthal distributed a season-high 56 assists along with four aces, nine digs, and three blocks. The match was capped with the Rosenthal striking for the final two kills of the night to win a marathon 36-34 fourth set.

Freshman of the Week 
Dylan Pilkvist, UC Santa Barbara | Freshman • Middle Blocker • El Segundo, Calif.
  • 8134UC Santa Barbara freshman Dylan Pilkvist helped the Gauchos open Big West play with a victory to earn a first career nod as Big West Freshman of the Week. 

  • Pilkvist hit .375 with four kills while serving up four aces in a five-set victory against UC San Diego.  

  • The middle blocker also added one denial at the net in the match. The first-year player from El Segundo, Calif., currently ranks in the top 10 in The Big West in blocks per set with a 0.870 average on the season.
