Player of the Week Trevor Nguyen, UC San Diego | Freshman • Huntington Beach, Calif.

• UC San Diego freshman Trevor Nguyen went undefeated in singles and doubles to earn The Big West Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor. It is Nguyen's first career weekly honor from the conference.

• In a 7-0 win against Villanova on Thursday, Nguyen teamed up with Abhinav Chunduru to defeat Ethan Carr and Cooper Gordon 6-2 in No. 1 doubles. In No. 3 singles, Nguyen prevailed over Quincy Jones in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5. 

• In a 4-2 win against Pacific on Sunday, Nguyen and Chunduru downed Nico Rating and C. Schaertlin Coffey 6-4 in No. 1 doubles. In No. 2 singles, Nguyen took care of Schaertlin Coffey in comeback fashion, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1. 

• UC San Diego is 7-8 on the year. Nguyen has a 5-4 record in singles.
