Long Beach State junior Brooke Birch and sophomore Kealoha Phillips went a perfect 4-0 at the Texas Invitational to earn Big West Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week honors. This is the first weekly distinction of the duo's career. 

The pair played a key role in a 3-1 weekend for the No. 10 Beach, picking up a point in each of the team’s three wins over No. 17 North Florida, No. 16 Florida Atlantic, and No. 12 LSU, while also delivering the lone victory against No. 6 Texas after moving up a flight.

Birch and Phillips thrived in pressure moments, grinding out three-set wins in three of their four matches, including back-to-back tight finishes against LSU and Texas that helped swing momentum throughout the weekend. 

The duo capped the tournament with a decisive straight-set win over Florida Atlantic, completing an unbeaten run against four ranked opponents and providing a steady presence in the lineup.
