Long Beach State junior infielder Malayna Terrones hit .692 (9-for-13) with a .733 on-base percentage to earn The Big West Field Player of the Week award after helping the Beach open the season with a strong showing at the Easton Classic.

Hawai‘i sophomore transfer pitcher Taryn Irimata went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA in two complete games to claim The Big West Pitcher of the Week award during the Bank of Hawai‘i Paradise Classic.

Irimata allowed just two runs across both victories, striking out nine and holding opposing hitters to a .143 batting average.

In the season opener against Seattle U, the right-hander surrendered one run on three hits while striking out two.
- Irimata followed with another complete game win against Pacific, allowing one run on four hits and striking out seven.
