League Leading Scorer Hannah Wickstrom of UC Riverside Claims Season's Third Big West Player of the Week

  • 8135Helping UC Riverside to a split weekend while securing a spot in the 2026 Credit Union 1 Big West Women’s Basketball Championship, Hannah Wickstrom has been named Big West Player of the Week. This is Wicsktrom’s third weekly honor of the season. 

  • In UCR's Thursday 62-58 win over Cal State Bakersfield, the guard shot 50 percent from the floor (10-of-20) scoring 24 points and grabbing nine rebounds. The 20-point game was a16th of the season. 

  • In Saturday’s loss at UC Davis, Wickstrom poured in a game-high 31 points, to account for more than half of UCR offense in the contest. The sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, was 12-of-20 from the floor with three triples and a team-best seven rebounds. 

  • Currently, Wickstrom leads The Big West and is fifth in NCAA Division I with 23.5 points per game. Wickstrom is also second in the league listings in field goal percentage (49.9) and free throw percentage (84.8).
