Scoring Efforts in Road Victories Earns CSUN’s Josiah Davis Player of the Week Award

  • CSUN guard Josiah Davis averaged 26.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game in two road wins to earn The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is the first career weekly honor for Davis.
  • The senior scored a career-high 31 points with 14 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block to propel CSUN to an 85-83 overtime victory at UC Santa Barbara, Thursday night.
  • Davis logged 21 points, three rebounds, nine assists and a steal as the Matadors defeated Long Beach State 78-76 on Saturday.
  • CSUN is 18-10 overall and in a three-way tie for first in The Big West with an 11-5 league record. Davis is currently averaging 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and a conference-leading and national fourth-best 7.2 assists per game.
