  • UC San Diego guard Hudson Mayes averaged 21.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in two wins to earn The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is the first career weekly honor for Mayes.
  • The Triton rookie recorded a double-double with 18 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free throw line, with 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in an 68-51 home triumph over UC Davis, Thursday night.
  • Mayes logged 24 points, on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor and perfect 9-of-9 from the charity stripe, with seven rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 72-66 home victory over UC Riverside on Saturday.
  • UC San Diego is 18-9 overall and 8-7 in conference play. Mayes is currently averaging 9.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
