  • California Baptist's Itumeleng Ngxabazi placed second overall, first amongst collegiate runners, at the Cougar Challenge to claim The Big West Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week award. It is Ngxabazi's first career weekly honor.
     
  • The junior clocked a time of 24:14.8 in the men's 8K. 
     
  • Ngxabazi was one of five CBU runners to finish in the top 10 as the Lancers claimed the team title with 18 points.

  • The Newport Beach, Calif. product placed first with a 6K time of 21:02.6. 
     
  • The Mustangs swept the top five places in the race to achieve a perfect score of 15 in a meet for the first time since 2015.
