Offensive Player of the Week  Sadie Beardall, Utah Valley | Senior • Forward • South Ogden, Utah

• Utah Valley forward Sadie Beardall contributed to three goals across two victories to claim Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors for Oct. 19. This is the second weekly distinction of Beardall’s career after earning the honor on Sept. 28, 2026. 

• Beardall supplied the difference in a 1-0 road win at rival California Baptist, scoring the game-winning tally in the 30th minute.

• The South Ogden, Utah, native followed with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 victory versus UC Riverside.

• Beardall put all four shots on target during the week and leads the Wolverines with eight goals, including three game-winners.

• UVU has outscored its opponents 4-0 across the two wins, extending its unbeaten streak to eight consecutive matches.

Defensive Player of the Week  Kate Shirts, Utah Valley | Junior • Forward • Orem, Utahtah

• Utah Valley forward Kate Shirts made an impact at both ends of the pitch to earn Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors for Oct. 19. This is the first weekly award of Shirts’ career.  

• Shirts anchored a defensive effort that produced back-to-back clean sheets, limiting CBU and UCR to eight combined shots and only four attempts on goal.

• The Orem, Utah native logged 162 minutes across the two victories and added a goal in the Wolverines’ 3-0 win over UCR.

• Shirts now owns two goals this season while continuing to provide a steady presence throughout the UVU lineup.

Rookie of the Week  Olivia Shih, UC San Diego • Freshman • Midfielder • Seattle, Wash.

• UC San Diego midfielder Olivia Shih contributed to a pair of goals during an unbeaten week to collect Big West Rookie of the Week honors for Oct. 19. This is the second weekly honor after Shih earned the Rookie award on Sept. 21, 2026.

• Shih struck for the game-winning goal in the Tritons’ 3-0 victory over Sacramento State, recording the third goal of a collegiate career.

• The Seattle, Wash., native added an assist in a 1-1 road draw at UCSB, helping the Tritons finish the week unbeaten at 1-0-1.
