Cal Poly’s Kennedy Buntrock Claims Fourth Career Player of the Week Award

  • Cal Poly's Kennedy Buntrock went 2-0 in singles and won a doubles match to earn The Big West Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor. It is Buntrock's fourth career weekly honor, having won it twice last season and once in 2023. 
  •  In a neutral-site match against BYU, Buntrock earned a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles with playing partner Jessica MacCallum. In No. 2 singles, the Henderson, Nev. native earned a 7-6(5), 6-4 victory over Kendall Kovick. 
  • Buntrock took down San Diego's 53rd-ranked Hannah Read in straight sets 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1 singles.
