Offensive Player of the Week 
William D'Arcy, UC Irvine | Senior • Opposite • Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
  • 8136Leading UC Irvine to a road upset of then-No. 3 Pepperdine, William D’Arcy has claimed a first career Big West Offensive Player of the Week award. D’Arcy twice earned freshman honors back in 2023.  

  • Off the bench in every set against the Waves, the senior opposite hitter had UCI’s final three kills in a 25-23 set one win then after trailing by as many as nine, D’Arcy took over the critical second set scoring five points in the final 10-3 run to win 26-24. 

  • D’Arcy closed the win with 19 kills on .630 hitting (19-2-27) with three aces and a season-high five kills.  

  • The native of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, opened the week with three kills on five swings with no errors and a pair of blocks in the home-opening sweep against then-No. 18 Princeton.  

  • D’Arcy is currently leading The Big West and ranks seventh in national collegiate volleyball with a .491 hitting percentage.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Ben Braun, Long Beach State | Senior • Middle Blocker • Rancho Mirage, Calif.
  • 8042Guarding the net with aplomb in a 3-0 week for Long Beach State, senior Ben Braun has been named Big West Defensive Player of the Week for the first career occasion. 

  • Playing in road matches at Goerge Mason and Ohio State, Braun compiled 13 total blocks or 1.86 per set.  

  • Braun contributed seven blocks and four kills in the sweeping effort at Mason on Friday. 

  • Saturday was highlighted by six blocks coupled with 10 kills on .600 hitting (10-1-15) in a 3-1 win against the Buckeyes.  

  • The middle blocker from Rancho Mirage, Calif., is posting 1.462 blocks per set to stand in second in The Big West and seventh nationally.

Setter of the Week 
Tread Rosenthal, Hawai'i | Junior • Setter • Austin, Texas
  • 8036Junior Tread Rosenthal directed Hawai’i to a series sweep of Rockhurst to land a seventh career nod as Big West Setter of the Week. The award is the second of its kind in the 2026 campaign.  

  • Rosenthal started both of UH's wins over Rockhurst, tallying a combined 81 assists in seven sets (11.57 per set) while also adding four aces, four digs, six kills, and three blocks.  

  • The product of Austin, Texas, compiled 44 assists in the four-set opener and 37 assists with four kills in the rematch. Rosenthal served up a pair of aces in each match.  

  • All told, the Rainbow Warriors hit a combined .439 in the series including a season-high .500 in Friday’s finale.  

  • Rosenthal leads the conference and rates fourth nationally with a 10.65 assists per set average.

Freshman of the Week 
Andrej Jokanovic, UC Irvine | Freshman • Outside Hitter • Cannes, France
  • UC Irvine first-year player Andrej Jokanovic shone bright in a pair of Anteater victories to earn a first career Big West Freshman of the Week award.  

  • Jokanovic averaged 3.71 kills, 1.00 digs and 4.07 points as UCI swept Princeton at home and secured a four-set upset against Pepperdine in Malibu.  

  • The outside hitter led the Anteaters with nine kills to go along with an ace and a dig against the Tigers to open the home slate.  

  • Against the Waves, the native of Cannes, France put down a career-high 17 kills on .371 hitting plus six digs.  

  • Jokanovic ranks in The Big West’s top three and the national top 20 in both kills per set (3.50) and hitting percentage (.431).
