Donavan Cheruiyot of UC Davis came in third place at the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational to claim The Big West Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week award. It is Cheruiyot’s first career weekly honor.

The junior ran 24:05.8 for 8K at River Oaks Golf Course to place third out of 149 athletes. 

The Aggies won the team competition out of 17 teams with 54 points.

UC San Diego’s Sylvana Northrop placed fourth at the Texas A&M Invitational to earn The Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor. It is Northrop’s second career weekly honor in cross country, having won it once last season.

The redshirt senior completed the 5K race at Watts Cross Country Course in 17:08.4 for fourth place out of 142 finishers.

As a team, the Tritons finished third out of 14 teams with 73 points.
