Offensive Player of the Week 
Emma Fredrick, Cal Poly | Junior • Outside Hitter • Bakersfield, Calif.
  • Cal Poly junior Emma Fredrick helped power the Mustangs to a 3-0 weekend en route to a first career Big West Offensive Player of the Week award. 

  • Fredrick starred as Cal Poly's best pin hitter, pacing all Mustangs with 38 kills (4.22 per set) while also leading defensively with 27 digs (3.00 per set).  

  • The junior from Bakersfield, Calif., finished with double-figure kills in a trio of sweeps. The 15-kill effort on .452 hitting (15-1-31) along with two service aces against Northern Colorado on Thursday highlighted the offensive efforts.  

  • The outside hitter went off for a double-double of 12 kills and 13 digs in Sunday’s tidy match against San Jose State.  

  • Fredrick currently sits in ninth in The Big West with 3.29 kills per set as the Mustangs ride a three-match winning streak into the final set of non-conference matches

Defensive Player of the Week 
Victoria Leyva, Hawai'i | Sophomore • Libero • El Paso, Texas
  • Hawai’i libero Victoria Leyva anchored the floor defense for the Rainbow Wahine in a two-match series win to become a first-time winner of Big West Defensive Player of the Week accolades.  

  • The product of El Paso, Texas, finished with 40 digs and averaged 4.44 per set in a pair of victories against Portland.  

  • The sophomore posted a match-high 17 digs in the opener on Thursday, then tied a season- and career-high with 23, often in spectacular fashion, in UH’s four-set victory in the rematch.  

  • Leyva has now posted at least 20 digs three times this season and averages 3.90 per set, which ranks fourth in The Big West.

Setter of the Week 
Emme Bullis, Cal Poly | Redshirt Senior • Setter • Whitewater, Wis.
  • 8038Cal Poly redshirt senior Emme Bullis piloted the Mustangs to a perfect weekend to capture a ninth career nod as Big West Setter of the Week. This was Bullis’ first recognition in the 2025 season.  

  • Bullis exploded for 109 assists in three sweeps to average 12.11 assists per set against Northern Colorado, California and San Jose State.  

  • Bullis tallied at least 30 assists in all three matches and recorded a pair of double-doubles to highlight the competition.  

  • The native of Whitewater, Wis., finished with 32 assists, 10 digs and five blocks against California on Friday and capped the weekend with 44 assists and 11 digs against the Spartans. 

  • Bullis now sits in third in the league in assists per set with a 9.03 average as Cal Poly hits a Big West best .293 this far on the season, good for 20th nationally.

Freshman of the Week 
Cha'lei Reid, Hawai'i | Freshman • Outside Hitter • La'ie, O'ahu
  • 9First-year player Cha’lei Reid of Hawai’i led the Raibow Wahine to a pair of wins to earn Big West Freshman of the Week. Reid was named Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8, marking back-to-back weekly honors.  

  • Reid put away a team-high 36 kills and averaged 4.00 per to sweep a two-match series with Portland.  

  • The outside hitter posted 18 kills in both matches and also served up three aces and was in on five blocks against the Pilots.  

  • Reid posted a first career double-double of 18 kills and 10 digs in Thursday’s five-set opener. The native of La'ie, O’ahu, contributed 18 more kills to go along with seven digs and two aces in in Friday’s rematch, won by UH in four sets.  

  • Reid now ranks in the top four in The Big West in kills average (3.71 - 4th), points average (4.65 - 3rd) and aces average (0.58 - 2nd) as the ’Bows have won their last four matches after  a slow start to the season.
