Offensive Player of the Week 
Natalie O'Sullivan, Cal State Bakersfield | Senior • Midfielder • Pleasanton, Calif. 
  • 8014Natalie O’Sullivan helped Cal State Bakersfield secure its first two wins of the season after netting a goal in each match and adding an assist. This is the first weekly distinction of the senior’s career. 

  • O’Sullivan opened the scoring on Thursday’s 4-1 triumph over Pacific, applying high pressure to force a turnover before winning a footrace and slotting the ball home.

  • The senior delivered again Sunday at Boise State, turning quickly on a pass and finishing clinically to seal a 3-1 victory over a Broncos squad that had not lost at home since 2023.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Maddie Buckley, UC Santa Barbara | Junior • Goalkeeper • Lafayette, Calif. 
  • 8Maddie Buckley brought home The Big West Defensive Player of the Week designation for the third time (Sept. 2 & Oct. 21, 2024) after earning the junior’s first win of the season. 

  • The goalkeeper recorded the first clean sheet of 2025, shutting out Fresno State following a career-high seven-save showing. 
  • Closed the week with a 0.60 goals-against average, helping lower the team’s defensive mark to one of the best in The Big West.

Freshman of the Week 
Shannon Porbuski, Cal Poly • Goalkeeper • Rocklin, Calif. 
  • 8038Cal Poly’s Shannon Porubsk shined bright in the freshman’s first career start and the Mustangs’ first win of the season. 

  • Porubski recorded five saves against 13 shots, keeping the Rebels off the board in the road matchup.

  • The performance resulted in Porubski’s first career clean sheet and the Mustangs’ second shutout of the season.
