COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Big West champion and 32nd-ranked UC Santa Barbara fell to No. 2-ranked and -seeded Texas A&M by a score of 4-1 in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship, Saturday at Mitchell Tennis Complex.
UC Santa Barbara concludes its 2025 season with a 17-9 overall record. Texas A&M (27-3 ) advances to the third round of the national tournament to face UCLA.
The Aggies took the doubles point for a 1-0 advantage. Nicole Khirin and Lucciana Perez (TAMU) defeated

Raphaelle Leroux (UCSB) 6-0 at position No. 3 and Lexington Reed and Daria Smetannikov (TAMU) downed
Lucy Lu and
Lily Pradkin (UCSB) 6-2 at the middle court.
Smetannikov gave Texas A&M a 2-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the No. 5 slot over
Emma Tutoveanu. Leroux got one point back for the Gauchos with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph against Perez at the No. 4 spot.
