The Big West proudly boasts 16 student-athletes on The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-America Teams. Seven schools represent the conference across the list.
Bernadette Doyle and Jordan Wedderburn of Hawai’i and Long Beach State’s Elisa Portillo highlight the list of honoree’s earning second team recognition.
Doyle earned Big West Player of the Year this season after amassing 95 points across 56 goals and 39 assists. The attacker also claimed second-team honors a year ago. Wedderburn makes way on the list with 68 tallies (second-most on UH) and finds a spot on the second team for the first time in the senior’s career. In 2024, Wedderburn was named to the ACWPC All-Academic Team.
Portillo posted the third most points in The Big West this season with 109 (67 goals, 42 assists) to lead LBSU. This is the second All-America distinction after the attacker notched third-team honors back in 2023.
UC Irvine’s Lauren Hett, Daisy Logtens of Hawai’i, and UC San Diego’s Kendall Thomas capture spots on the third team list.
Hett led the Anteaters in scoring with 67 tallies and finished second on the squad with 30 assists to collect the first All-America honor of the sophomore’s career.
Logtens lands back-to-back spots on the third team after leading the league in goals against average at 9.10. The 2025 Big West Championship MVP stopped a total of 209 shots last, ranking the third most amongst all netminders in the conference.
Thomas is now a four-time All-American after earning a pair of third team selections in 2024 and 2025 alongside Honorable Mention in 2022, 2023. The senior tabbed 69 points with 58 tallies and 11 assists this season.
Ten more Big West student-athletes received distinction as Honorable Mention including Martina Cardona and Chelsea Oliver of Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton's Emme Doube-MacLeod and Annabelle Sherman, the CSUN pairing of Anna Pal and Dorottya Telek, Kelly Hungerford and Bridget Miller of UC Davis, UC San Diego's Caroline Christl and Ema Vernoux of Hawai’i.
CSUN’s duo of Pal and Telek tout four straight appearances on the honorable mention list. Telek reset the single season scoring record after finding the back of the net 104 times this season. Pal posted a Big West-best 67 assists in 2025.
Christl claims the redshirt-senior's third straight nod after finishing second overall in The Big West with 92 goals scored for the Tritons in 2025.
Cardona also captures honorable mention status for a third straight season while the senior Oliver earns a first All-American recognition to represent the Beach. Cordona accumulated 70 scores to lead LBSU and finished fourth best amongst all student athletes in the league. The goalkeeper garnered 720 saves which catapulated the junior to third most in single season in program history.
The Titans see their duo of Doube-MacLeod and Sherman shine on the honorable mention list. Doube-MacLeod scored 67 times this season while Sherman placed fourth in saves (200) save percentage (.461) and goals against average (10.50).
UC Davis also boasts a pair of honorees in Hungerford and Miller. Hungerford led the Aggies in assists with 43 while Miller managed to lead the team in scoring with 47 tallies. This is the first All-America honor for both student athletes.
2025 Big West Freshman of the Year for Hawai'i, Vernoux earns the nod after scoring the third-most goals in the conference this season with 75. The Big West now celebrates 199 total student athletes who have achieved All-America distinction after adding 16 in 2025.
