Offensive Player of the Week
Jalen Phillips, CSUN | Redshirt Sophomore • Opposite Hitter • Anaheim, Calif.
  • 30415After leading CSUN to a pair of five-set wins, Jalen Phillips has claimed Big West Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.  

  • The redshirt sophomore recorded 61 kills over 10 sets to average 6.10 kills per set, including a career-high 34 in Saturday's reverse sweep at UC San Diego . 

  • Phillips combined to hit .310 on 126 swings, including a .400 clip on a career-high 65 attacks on Saturday.  

  • The opposite hitter also added 15 digs (1.50 per set) and three blocks on the weekend. 

  • The Anaheim, Calif., native is leading The Big West in attacks (9.20) and kills (4.31) per set. The kills average is good for fourth in the country.

Defensive Player of the Week
Shane Aitken, UC Irvine | Freshman • Libero • San Clemente, Calif.
  • 8136Helping to anchor the UC Irvine defense to a pair of victorious efforts against UC Santa Barbara, Shane Aitken has been named Big West Defensive Player of the Week. This is a first weekly honor for the freshman from San Clemente, Calif.  

  • Aitkin scooped up a career-high 13 digs with six assists in Thursday’s five-set road win over the Gauchos. 

  • Back in the Bren on Saturday, the libero added six more digs in the sweep to average 2.38 digs per set on the weekend.  

  • Aitken passed 32 balls without a reception error over the two matches.

Setter of the Week
Donovan Constable, CSUN | Senior • Setter • Clovis, Calif.
  • Donovan Constable directed CSUN to pair of five-set wins against UC San Diego en route to a fourth Big West Setter of the Week award of the season, and a seventh overall career weekly nod.  

  • Constable handed out 115 assists over 10 sets, averaging 11.50 assists per set, including a career-high 62 assists in Saturday's reverse sweep.  

  • In leading the CSUN hitters to a combined .324 hitting against the Tritons, the senior from Clovis, Calif., also added 18 digs, four blocks and two aces. 

  • Constable posted a first double-double of the season in Thursday's home victory with 53 assists and 10 digs. 

  • The setter currently ranks fourth in The Big West in aces (0.480) and assists (9.93) per set on the year with both numbers rating in the national top 20.

Freshman of the Week
Finn Kearney, Hawai'i | Freshman • Opposite Hitter • Phoenix, Ariz.
  • 8036Hawai’i true freshman Finn Kearney helped the Rainbow Warriors to a weekend split with No. 1 Long Beach State to earn a first career Big West Freshman of the Week honor.  

  • Kearney was making his second and third career starts in the home series, starting at opposite for UH’s kill leader, Kristian Titriyski. 

  • The Phoenix, Ariz., native paced the team in kills in both matches, tallying career-highs of 17 kills in each match to average 3.78 per set on the weekend.  

  • Kearney also tallied six total blocks, six digs, three assists and an ace for the ’Bows. Two of the denials at the net were unassisted stuffs, one in each match.
