Field Player of the Week  Ava Arce, Cal State Fullerton | Junior • Infielder • Huntington Beach, Calif.

• Junior Ava Arce takes home The Big West Field Player of the Week accolade after batting .625 (5-for-8) highlighted by a double and home run in Cal State Fullerton's sweep over Cal Poly. This is the first weekly distinction of the junior's career.   

• The Huntington Beach, Calif. native notched a trio of hits and RBI in CSUF's 9-0 (5 inn.) win over the Mustangs.   

• Sunday saw the infielder send four Titans home alongside three hits in another convincing win for CSUF (12-0, 5 inn.). 

• Arce crossed home plate three times and recorded seven RBI in the series, which tops both the Titans and Big West with 36.  

• The junior is slashing .500/.545/.767 against Big West opponents.

Pitcher of the Week India Caldwell, UC San Diego | Senior • Pitcher • Fallbrook, Calif.

• India Caldwell earned all three wins in UC San Diego's first Big West series sweep versus UC Riverside to claim The Big West Pitcher of the Week honor. This is the second weekly distinction of the senior's career after being recognized on March 11, 2024.   

• The pitcher posted an ERA of straight zero (0.00) in 12 innings of work paired with a complete game shutout in a 6-0 game one win.  

• 13 Highlander batters were sat down by the Fallbrook, Calif. native over the weekend. 

• Only five hits and two walks were awarded from the right pitcher in Caldwell's dominance over the weekend.  

• Overall, Caldwell comes in second place in strikeouts during Big West action with 27 and first overall in the league with nine strikeouts looking.

Freshman of the Week  Maalia Cherry, Cal State Bakersfield | Infielder • Hayward, Calif.

• Maalia Cherry was a big contributor to Cal State Bakersfield this weekend in the series versus UC Santa Barbara to compile another Big West Freshman of the Week accolade. This is the fourth weekly award of the freshman's career after claiming both Field Player and Freshman on Feb. 17 and freshman again on Feb. 24.   

• The freshman found four hits and sent six Roadrunners home alongside a double and home run for CSUB in home series.  
  

• Cherry collected a 1.143 slugging percentage and also drew three walks to help contribute to .700 on-base percentage.
