Offensive Player of the Week
Jalen Phillips, CSUN | Redshirt Sophomore • Opposite Hitter • Anaheim, Calif.
  • 8012After an upset win over No. 8 GCU, CSUN’s Jalen Phillips was voted Big West Offensive Player of the Week for a second time this season. Phillips also received honors on Jan. 20. 

  • The sophomore opposite hitter led the Matadors to victory with 19 kills in the 3-1 victory over the Lopes. Phillips added three aces, four blocks, and three digs while averaging 6.00 points per set in the match.  

  • The Matadors have posted three ranked wins in the month of February, including two top-10 victories. 

  • Phillips currently leads The Big West in attacks (9.39) and kills (4.55) per set and ranks second in the league with 5.18 points per set. The kills average ranks second in National Collegiate volleyball.

Defensive Player of the Week
'Eleu Choy, Hawai'i | Senior • Libero • Honolulu
  • 8036After a successful four-match swing through North Carolina, Hawai’i senior ‘Eleu Choy picked up a first career weekly award as Big West Defensive Player of the Week for Feb. 24. 

  • Choy played all 14 sets on the weekend, averaging 2.21 digs per set with a .974 combined reception percentage with only two errors in 76 attempts.  

  • In Saturday’s four-set win at Queens, the libero from Honolulu scooped up a season-high 11 digs.

Setter of the Week
Tread Rosenthal, Hawai'i | Sophomore • Setter • Austin, Texas
  • Guiding Hawai’i to a four-win road week, sophomore Tread Rosenthal has been named Big West Setter of the Week for a second time this season, also opening the year on Jan. 6 with honors. 

  • This week, the native of Austin, Texas, averaged 12.30 assists per set, playing in three of the Rainbow Warriors’ four contests in North Carolina.  

  • Rosenthal led UH to a combined team hitting percentage of .413 in the three matches played, including .456 in a sweep of Belmont Abbey and .426 in the 3-1 win in the second Queens match. 

  • Rosenthal also averaged a team-best 2.50 digs per set with eight kills, six total blocks and four aces – three of which game in the Queens series opener. 

  • Rosenthal leads the Big West and ranks third in the country in assists average (10.90).

Freshman of the Week
Kristian Titriyski, Hawai'i | Freshman • Outside Hitter • Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Playing in three of Hawai’i’s four matches on the week, first-year player Kristian Titriyski picked up Big West Freshman of the Week honors for a second time on the season.  

  • Titriyski averaged 4.50 kills and 4.94 points per set during UH's road trip, starting three matches while totaling 36 kills and hitting .388 while also averaging 1.63 digs per set. 

  • Titriyski also recorded five kills in nine errorless attempts in one set of action against Belmont Abbey in Thursday’s opener.  

  • The native of Sophia, Bulgaria, recorded 13 kills, hitting .391, with six digs in a straight-set win over Queens, and tallied a match-high 18 kills with two aces and seven digs in the four-set win over the Royals to close out the trip. 

  • For the season, Titriyski is in the national top 10 in kills (3.95 - 10th), points (4.88 - 6th) and aces (.545 - 8th) per set.
