Offensive Player of the Week
Kristian Titriyski, Hawai'i | Freshman • Opposite Hitter • Sofia, Bulgaria
  • 9Hawai’i freshman Kristian Titriyski picked up a first career Big West Offensive Player of the Week award after leading the Rainbow Warriors to a series split with No. 9 Stanford. Last week, Titriyski earned freshman weekly honors.  

  • The opposite hitter averaged 4.00 kills and 4.78 points per set against the Cardinal, totaling 36 total kills in the series while hitting a combined .368. 

  • In Wednesday’s five-set win, Titriyski posted a team-high 15 kills with five digs, two blocks and an ace. 

  • The native of Sofia, Bulgaria, followed up with a career-high 21 kills, hitting .472 with six digs, four blocks and a pair of aces in Friday’s four-set loss for the split. 

  • Titriyski currently rates fourth in The Big West and seventh in the nation in points per set (4.86). The 0.611 aces average is good for sixth in the country, and fifth in the league.

Defensive Player of the Week
Daniil Hershtynovich, Long Beach State | Sophomore • Opposite Hitter • Toronto, Canada
  • Long Beach State’s Daniil Hershtynovich picked up a first career Big West weekly honor after helping the top-ranked Beach dispatch No. 3 UCLA in four sets to move to 9-0 on the year. Hershtynovich was named Defensive Player of the Week for the efforts in LBSU’s lone match of the week.  

  • Hershtynovich made two blocks and six digs against the Bruins, to go along with 10 kills in the rematch of last season’s National Collegiate Championship at Walter Pyramid.  

  • Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Hershtynovich is hitting .400 on the season, which stands as fourth in The Big West and 14th nationally.

Setter of the Week
Donovan Constable, CSUN | Senior • Setter • Clovis, Calif.
  • 8012CSUN’s Donovan Constable propelled CSUN to a pair of wins to earn a third Big West Setter of the Week honor of the season, the first year in which the award has been given.  

  • Constable compiled 31 assists with four kills on .429 hitting, three aces and three blocks in Friday’s sweep of Dominican. The senior guided the Matador offensive to .324 team hitting in the match.  

  • On Saturday, CSUN notched their first win in Malibu since 2011 with the Clovis, Calif., native directing the offense to the upset over No. 10 Pepperdine. Constable posted 44 assists, with five digs, three kills and three blocks in the road victory over the Waves.  

  • Constable is currently second in The Big West and seventh in National Collegiate volleyball with a 10.54 assists per set average. The senior’s 0.641 aces per set is good for fourth in the country as the league holds the top four places on the national listings.

Freshman of the Week
Moni Nikolov, Long Beach State | Freshman • Setter • Sofia, Bulgaria
  • 8042Long Beach State setter Moni Nikolov led the No. 1 Beach to a 3-1 win over No. 3 UCLA to claim Big West Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.  

  • The Sofia Bulgaria, native, led the team in points, finishing with seven aces, five kills and two blocks while making 35 assists. As a team, Long Beach State hit .295 against the Bruins in a 25-21, 20-25, 25-16, 25-22 victory.   

  • After the impressive match at the service line, Nikolov leads the country in aces per set with a 1.129 average. Nikolov is the only player to average over an ace per set on the season, to date. The seven aces in a four-set match also stands as a new national season best.
