Larry Hughes II Earns Weekly Honor After High-Scoring Week

  • CSUN guard Larry Hughes II averaged 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 4.0 steals in two wins to earn The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is the first career weekly honor for Hughes II. 
  • The senior dropped 25 points with two rebounds, one assist and three steals in an 89-87 home win against Fresno State, Wednesday night. Hughes II went 10-for-16 from the floor during the game. 
  • In a 88-66 road victory at Delaware on Saturday, Hughes II recorded 23 points with seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and a block. 
  • In the two wins, the Matador guard shot 51.5 percent (17-of-33) on field goals and a perfect 100 percent (8-for-8) from the free throw line. 
  • CSUN is 6-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play to start the 2025 season. Hughes II is averaging a conference third-best 18.8 points per contest in 11 games this season.
