- UC San Diego forward Leo Beath averaged 23.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in three wins at the Terry’s Chocolates ESPN Events Invitational to earn The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is the second career weekly honor for Beath, having won it once earlier this season. Beath was also named the Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week.
- The junior dropped 29 points, shooting 11-for-14 on field goals and 4-for-5 on 3-pointers, in a 91-76 win against Temple to open the MTE on Monday.
- In an 87-77 victory over Bradley on Tuesday, Beath put away 26 points, on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor and going 3-of-5 from long distance, to go along with five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
- The Malibu, Calif. native compiled 16 points and five rebounds as the Tritons prevailed over Towson in the championship game on Wednesday, 87-73.
- In the three wins, the UCSD forward shot 61.9 percent (26-of-42) on field goals and 69.2 percent (9-of-13) from 3-point range and was named Terry’s Chocolates ESPN Events Invitational - Adventure Bracket MVP.
- UC San Diego is 7-0 to start the 2025 season. Beath is averaging a conference-best 19.9 points per game, shooting 58.4 percent from the floor and 53.3 percent from behind the arc.
