  • 32247Long Beach State sophomore goalkeeper Joe Jenness anchored the defense to claim Big West Men's Water Polo Defensive Player of the Week, (presented by Kap7) following a standout performance that clinched the regular-season title for the Beach. This is the first weekly distinction of the sophomore's career.  

  • Jenness was a wall in the cage, recording 12 saves in an 11-4 victory over No. 8 UC Davis to complete a perfect 5-0 conference run.

  • The Beach defense, led by Jenness, stifled the Aggies' attack, holding them to under 20% shooting on the day.

  • The sophomore's stellar showing capped a dominant regular season, helping Long Beach State secure the top seed heading into the Big West Championship.
