The field and seeding for the 2025 Big West Women's Soccer Championship are officially set following Thursday night's regular-season finales across the conference. Six teams advance to the postseason, with the top two earning a coveted first-round bye.

Regular-season champion CSUN (8-7-4 Overall, 6-1-3 BW, 21 points) claims the No. 1 seed after clinching the 2025 Big West title with a 2-1 comeback win in its finale. The Matadors will host both semifinal matchups on Thursday, Nov. 6, and the championship final on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Matador Soccer Field. The crown marks CSUN's first Big West regular-season championship since 2016 and its first postseason appearance since 2019. 

Cal Poly (8-2-9 Overall, 6-2-2 BW, 20 points) earns the No. 2 seed and the second first-round bye. The Mustangs enter the tournament unbeaten in their last five contests, eyeing a return to the championship stage after not qualifying a year ago.  

Cal State Fullerton (13-2-3 Overall, 6-2-2 BW, 20 points) secures the No. 3 seed, entering postseason play with 13 victories, the most among all Big West teams this season. UC Irvine (6-6-6, 4-2-4 BW, 16 points) takes the No. 4 slot after closing the regular season with a decisive 2-0 win over Hawai'i. 

Defending champion UC Santa Barbara (12-4-4, 5-2-3 BW, 18 points) punches its ticket to the postseason in back-to-back seasons, this time as the No. 5 seed, while Cal State Bakersfield (6-10-3, 4-3-2 BW, 16 points) rounds out the field at the No. 6 spot and qualifies for The Big West Championship for the second time in school history. 

With the bracket set, first-round action kicks off Sunday, Nov. 2, as No. 3 Cal State Fullerton hosts No. 6 Cal State Bakersfield at 5 p.m., followed by No. 5 UC Santa Barbara traveling to No. 4 UC Irvine for a 6 p.m. start. 

Winners from Sunday's opening matches will advance to meet top seeds CSUN and Cal Poly in Thursday's semifinals. The semifinal slate is set for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 6, leading to the championship showdown on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m., where Big West supremacy will be on the line. 

The Big West Champion earns the league's automatic berth into the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship. The 64-team NCAA field will be announced live on NCAA.com on Monday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. PT.
