  • On Saturday, the San Ramon, Calif. product made three stops in a 1-0 triumph over CSUN.

  • UC Santa Barbara freshman Steinar Bjornsson recorded a goal to secure The Big West Men's Soccer Freshman of the Week award. It is Bjornsson’s first career weekly honor.
  • The rookie scored the game-winner in a 2-0 home victory against Sacramento State, Wednesday.
  • On Saturday, the forward from Reykjavik, Iceland played 84 minutes and compiled nine shots, four of them on-goal, in a 0-0 draw against UC Irvine. Bjornsson's numbers in shots and shots-on-goal in the game rank in the top 10 in Division I this season.
  • UC Santa Barbara is 6-4-7 overall and 4-0-4 in league play.
