Offensive Player of the Week  Jade Light, UC Davis | Senior • Outside Hitter • Sloughhouse, Calif.

• After powering UC Davis to a pair a sweeps, Jade Light was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week. This marks a first career weekly honor for the senior.  

• Light was the offensive catalyst for the Aggies, leading with 27 total kills to average 4.50 per set to go along with 2.67 digs per set.  

• In Friday’s match at Cal State Bakersfield, the outside hitter from Sloughhouse, Calif., posted 14 kills with seven digs, four blocks and four aces.  

• On Saturday at CSUN, the senior led the offense again with 13 kills on .323 hitting while adding nine digs. Light is riding a 16-match streak with double figure kills.  

• Light leads The Big West in kills (4.12) and points (4.66) per set, ranking among the Top 50 in the country in both categories.

Defensive Player of the Week  Nieko Thomas, Long Beach State | Senior • Middle Blocker • West Hills, Calif.

• Long Beach State’s Nieko Thomas led the Long Beach State defense to a pair of victories and a first career nod as Big West Defensive Player of the Week. 

• The fifth-year senior from West Hills, Calif., averaged 2.0 blocks per set on the week, highlighted by a career-high matching 10 total blocks in Thursday’s 3-1 win against UC San Diego. Thomas also added five kills in the contest. 

• In LBSU's first sweep of Hawai'i since 2023, Thomas recorded four blocks, three digs, and four kills in a nationally-televised game on ESPNU. 

• Thomas ranks second in The Big West in blocking average with 1.23 per set.

Setter of the Week  Emme Bullis, Cal Poly | Redshirt Senior • Setter • Whitewater, Wis.

• Cal Poly redshirt senior Emme Bullis directed the Mustangs to a pair of home sweeps to claim Big West Setter of the Week. This is a 10th career weekly setter award, and a second of the 2025 season.  

• Bullis distributed 61 set assists (10.17 per set) as Cal Poly over a pair of sweeps and helping the Mustangs to a .271 hitting clip and 13.17 team kills per set. 

• The product of Whitewater, Wis., finished with 27 assists, five digs and two blocks against UC Irvine on Friday. 

• In Saturday’s sweep of Cal State Fullerton, Bullis recorded a double-double of 34 assists and 15 digs. Bullis also added two aces in each match.  

• Bullis is currently averaging 8.81 assists per set on the season, third in the conference.

Freshman of the Week  Cha'lei Reid, Hawai'i | Freshman • Outside Hitter • Laie O'ahu

• After splitting the road trip to the mainland, Hawai’i native and first-year player Cha’lei Reid earned Big West Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.  

• Reid averaged 4.67 kills per set and with two double-figure performances for the Rainbow Wahine.  

• The outside hitter had 10 kills with six digs and three blocks at Long Beach State on Friday.  

• In Saturday’s sweep at UC San Diego, Reid away 18 kills while hitting a season-high .438 over 32 attempts.  

• The product of Laie, O’ahu, rates third in the league with 4.26 points per set and has served up 31 total aces on the season. Reid’s 0.44 aces average stands at 28th in NCAA Division I.
