  • 8137 Muhammed Ahmed of UC Davis placed eighth at the Bill Dellinger Invitational to claim The Big West Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week award. It is Ahmed’s first career weekly honor in cross country.

  • The senior crossed the finish line with a time of 23:30.66, setting a new personal best.

  • The Aggies took fourth as a team with 120 points.

Kaia Schmidt, UC Irvine | Junior • West Linn, Ore.

  • 8136UC Irvine's Kaia Schmidt placed 14th overall at the Bill Dellinger Invitational to earn The Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor. It is Schmidt's second career weekly honor, having won it once earlier this year.

  • The junior completed the 6K course at Pine Ridge Golf Club in 20:43.97, five seconds shy of a personal record.

  • In the team competition, UC Irvine was sixth with 155 points.
