- UC San Diego's Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones averaged 28.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 3.0 assists in two wins to claim The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is Tait-Jones' second career weekly honor, having won it once last season.
- The Triton senior shot 73.1 percent (19-of-26) from the field, 60 percent (3-of-5) from behind the arc and 88.9 percent (16-of-18) from the charity stripe.
- Tait-Jones scored 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including three 3-pointers and four made free throws, in a 77-63 victory over UC Santa Barbara, Thursday night.
- On Saturday against CSUN, the New Zealand native put away a season-high 32 points, going 10-of-14 from the floor with 12 made free throws, in a 79-54 triumph.
- The Tritons are currently 17-4 overall with a 7-2 conference mark. Tait-Jones is averaging a league third-best 19.7 points per game and is the national leader in free throws made (150) and attempts (186).
