Glenn, Bacon, Bullis and Sylvester Pick Up Big West Women's Volleyball Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week 
Natalie Glenn, Long Beach State | Senior • Outside Hitter • Southlake, Texas
  • 8042Natalie Glenn was outstanding for Long Beach State in the opening week of league action to earn Big West Offensive Player of the Week. This is a second career honor for the senior, also earning distinction back on Oct. 2, 2023.  

  • Glenn averaged 4.43 kills per set on a .462 hitting percentage to lead the Beach in victorious road efforts at UC Davis and UC Riverside.  

  • In Thursday’s conference opener against the Aggies, the outside hitter recorded a season-high 20 kills on a .485 clip while adding 12 digs, three aces, three assists, and a block. The double-double was the sixth on the season for the Southlake, Texas, native.  

  • Glenn continued the offensive tear against the Highlanders with 11 kills on .421 hitting to go along with seven digs and two blocks in Saturday’s sweeping victory. 

  • With four more aces bringing the season tally to 20, Glenn currently leads The Big West in aces per set with a 0.47 average.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Kameron Bacon, Long Beach State | Senior • Middle Blocker • Fontana, Calif.
  • Long Beach State’s Kameron Bacon was a force at the net in a pair of Big West wins to claim Big West Defensive Player of the Week. A two-time weekly defensive award winner in 2023, this is Bacon’s third career honor. 

  • Bacon led the Beach while averaging 1.29 blocks per set to help hold LBSU opponents to a .112 attack percentage in wins at UC Davis and UC Riverside.  

  • Along with the blocking skills, Bacon added 1.43 kills per set while hitting .381 on the weekend.  

  • The senior from Fontana, Calif., started the week with four kills, five blocks and a pair of digs against the Aggies.  

  • Bacon compiled six kills on .600 hitting with four blocks in a sweep of the Highlanders to help extend LBSU’s winning streak to four matches.

Setter of the Week 
Emme Bullis, Cal Poly | Redshirt Junior • Setter • Whitewater, Wis.
  • 8038Cal Poly’s Emme Bullis helped the Mustangs sweep through their first pair of Big West opponents to scoop up Setter of the Week for the second time of the season and eighth career nod. 

  • Bullis collected 68 assists through six sets of action and posted 11.33 assists per set to help Cal Poly post a .358 team hitting percentage in wins at CSUN at Cal State Bakersfield.  

  • With 31 assists against CSUN and 37 at CSUB, the senior from Whitewater, Wis., has supplied at least 30 assists eleven times this season.  

  • Bullis continues to pace the conference with 10.71 assists per set, which rates 15th in NCAA Division I.

Freshman of the Week 
Miliana Sylvester, Hawai'i | Freshman • Middle Blocker • Honolulu
  • 8036Miliana Sylvester of Hawai’i opened league play with career bests to secure a second Big West Freshman of the Week award of the season. Sylvester also earned honors on Sept. 16.  

  • On Friday, the middle blocker opened Big West action by putting away a career-best 16 kills and was in on six blocks, including a solo stuff, in a 3-2 loss against UC Irvine.  

  • Sylvester followed with a 12-for-12 start against Cal State Fullerton before finishing with 14 kills on 17 swings in the sweep. The .765 attack percentage on Saturday stands as fifth in the NCAA in single-match hitting percentage (15-19 attempts). 

  • For the weekend, Sylvester averaged 3.75 kills, 1.13 blocks and 4.44 points per set as the Rainbow Wahine split the home weekend.
