Forward Devin Greer brings home Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in the freshman’s career following a brace in UC Santa Barbara’s first win of the year.

In the 11th minute against San Jose State, Greer recorded the freshman’s first career score to give UCSB an early lead. From there, Greer scored the game-winning goal for the Gauchos in the 60th minute to put the Spartans away, 3-0.
- The Sacramento native joins twelve other Big West student-athletes who have registered multi-goal performances so far in 2024. Greer has gathered a team-high 292 minutes on the pitch for UCSB this season.

Maddie Buckley played a pivotal part in securing UC Santa Barbara’s first win of the season en route to earning Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors. This is the first weekly distinction of the sophomore’s career.

Buckley boasted and tied a new career-high in saves in both of UCSB’s contests this week. Starting off against Sacramento State, the Lafayette native snatched four shots in the scoreless draw. Buckley followed up with four more saves versus San Jose State, ending with eight stops on the week.

The sophomore goaltender has recorded three straight clean sheets and has gone 315 straight minutes in net without allowing a tally. Overall, Buckley ranks second in The Big West in Save Percentage at a .875 mark.
