- Cole Francisco of UC Irvine recorded four scores, an assist, five drawn exclusions, and two takeaways to secure The Big West Men’s Water Polo Player of the Week accolade. The recognition counts as the first weekly distinction of the freshman’s career.
- The Rocklin, Calif. native accounted for two of the Anteaters' nine tallies against top team-team in the nation, UCLA. UCI took the No. 1 Bruins to the brink falling by UCLA’s smallest margin of victory (3 goals), 12-9. Francisco followed up with another multi-tally performance featuring a pair of goals and an assist against No. 3 USC. With the help of Francisco, UC Irvine also held USC to its smallest margin of victory with 4 scores, 15-11.
- Francisco currently sits in second place amongst all UCI goal scorers with seven scores, only behind reigning Player of the Week junior attacker Luka Krstic (10). UC Irvine stands at 2-4 overall with all four setbacks against each of the top four schools in the country.
