Offensive Player of the Week 
Sam Tristan, UC Davis | Senior • Forward/Midfielder • Fresno, Calif. 
  • 8137Sam Tristan shined bright for UC Davis with a trio of goals across two contests to be crowned Big West Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in the senior’s career.  

  • The Fresno native scored once in UC Davis's 2-1 road win versus San Jose State on Thursday. Tristan followed up by recording two tallies against in less than two mintues apart against Pacific to conclude the Aggies road trip with a pair of wins on the week. Overall, Tristan tabbed four total shots, three of which found the back of the net.   

  • Currently, Tristan leads The Big West individually in goals (4) and points (9). The Aggies are riding a two-game winning streak following last week’s results and sit atop the league standings with a 3-1-0 overall record.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Ranson, Cal State Fullerton | Redshirt Junior • Goalkeeper • Chino, Calif. 
  • 27265Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper Ranson was awarded Big West Defensive Player of the Week accolades after stopping 17 shots on the week in goal. This is the 13th time the redshirt junior has taken home the weekly honor.   

  • Ranson started the week off with four saves against Nevada in the team’s 5-1 triumph at Titan Stadium. The following match, Ranson reached a new career-high in saves (17) after allowing No. 2 Stanford’s first shot of the game to register for a score. From there, the Fullerton goalkeeper was lights out and made 17 stops against the 27 shots CSUF faced.   

  • Overall, Ranson ranks first in The Big West in minutes (270:00), saves (19), and second in saves per game with 6.33. The Titans are 2-1 overall with the lone loss at the hands of the No. 2 team in the nation.

Freshman of the Week 
Jordyn Canister, CSUN | Freshman • Forward • Torrance, Calif. 
  • 22607Jordyn Canister of CSUN collected Big West Freshman of the Week honors after registering the first points of the freshman’s career against LMU.     

  • Canister scored the first goal of the freshman’s career in the 35th minute to give CSUN a 2-0 lead over the Lions. The tally proved to be the game-winner and helped clinch the Matadors' first win of the season on Sunday night.  

  • The previous week against Idaho, the Torrance native contributed three shots in the setback. Canister did not compete last year in 2023 after being sidelined by an injury.
