UC Santa Barbara sophomore infielder Jazzy Santos was only put out twice and never struck out in 12 appearances at the plate to score The Big West Field Player of the Week accolade. This is the second weekly distinction of Santos's collegiate career (April 10, 2023).

This past weekend, the sophomore drove home 10 of the Gauchos 29 total runs against Cal State Bakersfield while finishing with a slashing line of .778/.833/1.222. Santos secured seven hits while two went for extra-bases. During the series finale, Santos went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.
- Santos is tied for eighth overall in the league with 34 hits behind fellow teammates Ainsley Waddell and Madelyn McNally. As a unit, UC Santa Barbara is currently 13-20 overall with a 7-5 record in Big West play.

UC Riverside pitcher Briza Blanco boasted a 0.96 ERA versus in last weekend's series versus UC Davis to bring home The Big West Pitcher of the week award. This is the third Big West weekly distinction of Blanco's collegiate career after claiming both pitcher and freshman of the week on Feb. 17, 2020.

During game one of the series, Blanco pitched 2.1 innings and only gave up three hits en route to recording the Murrieta, Cailf natives third win of the 2024 season. Blanco tossed four strikeouts in the series finale while registering the first career complete game shutout and second career complete game of her career.

This is the first time UC Riverside has swept a season series over UC Davis since 2016. Currently, the Highlanders hold a 5-7 Big West record and 11-21 overall mark.

Freshman infielder Sarah Perez helped guide Cal State Fullerton to a 2-1 week to secure The Big West Freshman of the Week award. This is the first weekly distinction of Perez's collegiate career.

The Whittier, Calif. native contributed a two-run triple, two stolen bases and a scored run in the weekend series versus CSUN. Defensively, Perez posted five putouts and assisted with six outs to cap off the week.
- Currently, Perez holds a .476 batting average alongside 12 putouts in Big West play. The Titans sit atop the conference with a 10-2 record in league play.
