Cal State Fullerton's DJ Brewton Earns Weekly Honor After High-Scoring Performances

  • 8011Cal State Fullerton senior DJ Brewton averaged 28.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in two wins to earn The Big West Player of the Week award, presented by Hercules Tires. It is Brewton's first career weekly honor. 

  • The Cincinatti, Ohio product shot 50 percent (21-for-42) from the field and 50 percent (5-for-10) from 3-point range in the two victories. 

  • The Titan guard tallied 26 points, five rebounds and six assists in a 76-71 road win at Long Beach State. 
  • Brewton compiled a season-high 30 points with six rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 76-70 home win over UC Santa Barbara. 

  • Cal State Fullerton won both of its games to improve to a 14-16 overall record and 7-11 conference mark with a week left in the regular season. Brewton has scored 20 points or more in six straight contests and has averaged 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game on the season.
