Lindsey Sparks and Quinn Perry went 3-1 at the Battle for LA, where Cal Poly split the weekend after facing off with No. 1 UCLA, No. 3 USC, No. 8 California, and No. 14 GCU.

Playing at the No. 3 spot in the lineup, Sparks and Perry beat pairs from No. 1 UCLA, No. 8 California, and No. 14 Grand Canyon. Against the Bears, they came up clutch to win their third set 15-13 and seal the Mustangs' 3-2 upset.

The duo were also part of a team win over GCU, where Cal Poly took down the Lopes, 4-1. Sparks and Perry’s first win of the weekend came as the lone point for the Mustangs against top-ranked UCLA, a straight-set decision.
