• Pablo Masjuan of UC Santa Barbara did not drop a single match last week to take home The Big West Men's Tennis Player of the Week award. This is the third weekly distinction of Masjuan's collegiate career (March 29, April 5, 2023).
• The Madrid, Spain native was a perfect 7-0 over the course of the week against the likes of No. 10 nationally ranked Harvard, Yale, and Nebraska. During doubles play, the Gaucho duo of Masjuan and Gianluca Brunkow went 4-0 against their opposition with scores of 6-1, 5-4 (unfinished), 7-5 and 6-4.
• In singles action, Masjuan made way with wins over Yale and Nebraska with set scores of 6-1, 7-5 and 4-3. The biggest highlights of Masjuan's week came when the senior knocked off two nationally ranked opponents in singles play versus Daniel Milavsky (No. 104 overall) of Harvard, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) and Anton Shepp (No. 120 overall) of Nebraska, 7-5, 6-2. Currently, UC Santa Barbara sits atop The Big West standings with a 1-0 mark in league play and 8-4 overall record.
