  • 8138UC San Diego senior Bryce Pope averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in two wins to earn The Big West Player of the Week award, presented by Hercules Tires. It is the third time this season that Bryce Pope has won the conference's weekly honor (Jan. 15, Jan. 29). 

  • The San Diego, Calif. product scored six points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists in a 77-65 road victory at UC Riverside on Thursday. 

  • The Triton guard went off for a career-high 32 points, on 11-of-19 shooting, with four rebounds and two assists in a 92-88 home win against UC Irvine on Saturday. Three of Pope's points came in a dramatic buzzer-beater at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime. The result moved UC San Diego into a first-place tie with the Anteaters. 
  • UC San Diego is on fire, winning its last four games for a 19-9 overall record and 13-3 conference mark with two weeks left in the regular season. Pope is currently averaging a team-high 18.1 points with 4.0 rebounds.
