Lucas Romageuera is recognized as The Big West Men's Water Polo Player of the Week after gathering five points in No. 13 UC San Diego's first win over No. 14 UC Santa Barbara since 2014. This is the first weekly distinction of the senior's career.       

The Rio de Janeiro native recorded four tallies and led all scorers in the 16-8 win over the Gauchos. The four goals matched the attacker's career high. 

Romageuera also added an assist, a block, and a lone steal to close out the senior's stat line.   

In the last five games, Romageuera has racked up at least one score and has scored more than once in three such contests. UC San Diego sits at an even 2-2 in The Big West following the massive win.
