Offensive Player of the Week 
Caylen Alexander, Hawai'i | Junior • Opposite Hitter • Alpharetta, Ga.
  • Caylen Alexander continues to lead the Rainbow Wahine attack as Hawai'i secured a pair of home wins to earn Big West Offensive Player of the Week for a sixth time in 2024.  

  • For the season, Alexander is averaging 5.25 kills per set, which leads the conference and stands in second in NCAA Division I.  

  • Saturday, the outside hitter put away 20 kills in a four-set win over Cal Poly, recording at least 20 strikes for the 12th time this season as the 'Bows moved into a tie for first place in Big West play. 

  • The junior from Alpharetta, Ga., opened the weekend by posting 19 kills in 36 attempts to hit .389 to go along with 13 digs in a sweep of UC Santa Barbara. The double-double stands as the 13th of the season.  

  • Alexander finished with 39 total kills in seven sets, averaging 5.57 kills per set to go along with 3.00 digs per set.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Paulina Baillie | Freshman • Libero • Carlsbad, Calif.
  • 8138UC San Diego libero Paulina Baillie anchored the Tritons' defensive efforts in a pair of home victories to claim a second Big West Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.  

  • Baillie averaged 5.00 digs over eight sets on the court. In Friday's victory over first-place UC Davis, the freshman tallied 25 digs—two shy of a career high—to lead the Tritons in the back court.  

  • On Saturday, the product of Carlsbad, Calif., collected 15 digs for an 18th double-figure dig performance of the season in a sweep of UC Riverside.

Setter of the Week 
Kate Lang, Hawai'i | Senior • Setter • Keller, Texas
  • Hawai'i senior Kate Lang directed the Rainbow Wahine attack in the successful homestand to pick up Big West Setter of the Week. The award is the fourth of the season and an eye-popping 15th career weekly nod. 

  • Lang distributed 82 assists, averaging 11.71 per set, and added 12 kills as UH swept through UC Santa Barbara and defeated preseason favorite Cal Poly, 3-1. 

  • The product of Keller, Texas, tied a career high with six kills in eight attempts and dished out 40 assists as the UH offense hit .364 against the Gauchos on Friday.  

  • Saturday, Lang put away six more kills against the Mustangs to go along with 42 assists in a four-set victory. Lang also served up five aces in the homestand, two against UCSB and three against Cal Poly.  

  • Lang leads The Big West with 936 total assists and ranks second in the league and 36th nationally with 10.29 per set.

Freshman of the Week 
Molly McCluskey, UC San Diego | Freshman • Opposite Hitter • Costa Mesa, Calif.
  • UC San Diego's Molly McCluskey helped the Tritons to a pair of home victories to claim Big West Freshman of the Week for the third time this season. The previous two awards came in the first two weeks of the 2024 campaign. 

  • McCluskey averaged 2.25 kills and 3.88 digs per set in wins over league-leading UC Davis and UC Riverside at LionTree Arena.  

  • In Friday's victory over the Aggies, McCluskey collected nine kills and a career-high 14 digs in the five-setter. The Costa Mesa, Calif., native also recorded a solo stuff in the game.  

  • In Saturday's sweep of UC Riverside, McClusky finished with nine kills and another career-best outing of 17 digs. 

  • The Tritons are currently sitting in a tie for third in league action at 8-4. The top six Big West squads will compete in The Hawaiian Islands presents the 2024 Outrigger Big West Women's Volleyball Championship.
