Offensive Player of the Week 
Tommi Stockham, Cal Poly | Redshirt Senior • Outside Hitter • Las Vegas
  • 8038Cal Poly outside hitter Tommi Stockham led the Mustangs to a pair of sweeps and picked up a seventh career and first season Offensive Player of the Week honor. With the pair of victories, Cal Poly clinched a spot in The Hawaiian Islands presents the 2024 Outrigger Big West Women’s Volleyball Championship.  

  • Stockham averaged 5.33 kills and 1.83 digs per set in the tidy six-set week.  

  • Friday against Cal State Fullerton, the redshirt senior put down 14 kills on .345 hitting with four digs and a block/ 

  • In Saturday’s final home game at Mott Athletics Center for the Las Vegas native, Stockham hammered down 18 kills to reach a season high for kills in a three-set match while hitting .500 and collecting seven digs.  

  • Stockham’s season averages of 3.71 kills and 4.29 points per set are second in The Big West.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Tayli Ikenaga, Hawai'i | Senior • Libero • Honolulu
  • Tayli Ikenaga’s final homestand was punctuated by a pair of Hawai’i wins and a season’s second Big West Defensive Player of the Week honor. 

  • The senior libero headlined UH’s defensive effort in sweeps over Long Beach State and UC San Diego. Ikenaga totaled 35 digs, or 5.83 per set, while opponents hit a combined .109 on the weekend. 

  • The Honolulu native came up with 18 digs in Friday’s sweep of the Beach, followed by a 17-dig outing in the three-set win against the Tritons.  to help UH sweep UC San Diego. Her efforts in the back row helped UH hold its two opponents to a combined .109 hitting percentage over six sets.  

  • Ikenaga jumped up to second in The Big West in digs average with a mark of 3.98. 

  • The Rainbow Wahine clinched a spot in the upcoming Big West Championship in Irvine, Calif., where the team will look to defend the crown in Irvine.

Setter of the Week 
Kate Lang, Hawai'i | Senior • Setter • Keller, Texas
  • 8036Helping Hawai’i to a pair of sweeps in the season’s final homestand, senior Kate Lang earned the season’s fifth Big West Setter of the Week honor. Lang has now collected a remarkable 16 weekly setter awards in a career. 

  • Lang averaged 11.67 assists per set with a total of 70 over six sets on the court, opening the weekend with 34 assists to go along with10 digs against Long Beach State. This marked a 13th double-double of the season.  

  • In Lang’s final collegiate home match, the Keller, Texas, product recorded 36 assists and three kills while directing a UH attack that hit .340 in a sweep of UC San Diego on Senior Night.  

  • Over the weekend, Lang rose from fifth to third in Rainbow Wahine history in career assists with 4,346, passing UH head coach Robyn Ah Mow on the list. Lang leads the conference with 1,116 total assists and 10.53 per set this season, with a per set average good for 26th in NCAA Division I.

Freshman of the Week 
Elif Hurriyet, Cal Poly | Freshman • Libero/Defensive Specialist • Istanbul, Turkiye
  • Cal Poly’s Elif Hurriyet buckled down in a pair of Mustangs sweeps to claim Big West Freshman of the Week honors. This is a first freshman award, as Hurriyet was named the defensive honoree back on Oct. 28. 

  • Hurriyet notched a pair of double-digit dig tallies over the weekend, with 11 digs in sweeps against Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine which extended the Cal Poly winning streak to four.  

  • In Saturday’s win over the Anteaters, Hurriyet tallied a career-high seven assists while adding three service aces.  

  • Hurriyet averaged 3.67 digs and 1.50 assists per set on the week as the preseason favorite Mustangs secured their place in The Big West Championship bracket with two matches remaining in the regular season.
